WECO 16K0 HV Battery Module, 15.2VDC, 16.076 kWh

The WeCo 16K0 HV is a 16 kWh high-voltage lithium iron phosphate battery module for commercial and industrial energy storage. Modules stack in series inside a WeCo A-Kool cabinet or a standard rack, with a WeCo HV BOX controller managing the cluster.

Each module carries 314 Ah cells at a nominal 51.2 Vdc and up to 98% depth of discharge. A cluster runs from 5 to 17 modules (80.4 to 273.3 kWh net), and up to 8 clusters combine through the HV HUB, so one platform scales from a small commercial backup system to a multi-hundred-kWh peak-shaving or renewables-integration plant.

Why installers specify it

• 16.08 kWh per module with 0.5C standard and up to 1C peak charge/discharge
• Series-stacked HV architecture for 250 to 1000 Vdc systems, with pre-charge circuit, main contactor, manual breaker and fuse protection in the HV BOX
• Expected cycle life above 8 000 cycles at 25 °C and 80% DoD
• Three protection levels, real-time balancing and adaptive CAN charge/discharge logic, with 3-step adaptive charging
• RS485, CAN and RS232 comms, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth via external device
• Certified to CB, IEC 62368-1, IEC 62619, CE and UN38.3

Good to know before you quote it

• This is the single 16K0 HV module only. The HV BOX is mandatory in every system, and the A-Kool cabinet or rack is specified separately.
• Minimum cluster is 5 modules. A-Kool cabinets accept up to 15 modules in series (241 kWh); rack installations go to 17 (273 kWh).
• IP30 rating: designed for installation inside the WeCo cabinet or an indoor rack.
• Module dimensions 482 × 910 × 230 mm (W × D × H), 109 kg. Plan lifting equipment and floor loading accordingly.
