The Deye SUN-8K-SG05LP1-EU-SM2 is an 8kW single-phase hybrid inverter for 48V low-voltage battery systems, built for residential and light-commercial backup and self-consumption.

It handles up to 12.8kW of PV across two independent MPP trackers, and pushes 190A of charge and discharge into a 48V battery bank — enough headroom to run a well-specified home off stored energy rather than trickling it. Grid, PV, battery and generator are all managed by the one unit, with six configurable time periods for battery charging and discharging so you can shape the system around a tariff or a load profile.

It is rated IP65 and cooled by intelligent air cooling, so it can be wall-mounted indoors or in a sheltered outdoor position without an enclosure.

Good to know before you quote it

This is the SM2 revision. It is not interchangeable with the plain SG05LP1-EU on array design — the SM2 carries two strings per tracker and 26A per tracker, where the older unit carries one string and 13A.
Low-voltage (40–60V) batteries only. It will not drive a high-voltage stack.
Warranty is 5 or 10 years depending on the final installation site — confirm against Deye's warranty policy for the address.
